No 3, Stryd Penlan is a beautiful and deceptively spacious holiday home located in the heart of Abersoch on the inner harbour. This lovely cottage has been renovated to a high standard and is beautifully decorated throughout in a contemporary coastal scheme. The cottage sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms with two en-suite bedrooms with king size beds, a single room, a triple/family room and two further bathrooms.

No 3 forms part of a row of picturesque former fishermen’s cottages next door to one of the village’s most recognisable properties, Compass Cottage, and just yards from Abersoch’s busy high street. There are stunning views over the tidal inner harbour from several rooms and a pleasant balcony which provides the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the comings and goings of the harbour below.

  • Kitchen, a newly installed and well equipped kitchen with toaster, kettle, microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine and milk frother, Neff oven & hob, dishwasher and large American style fridge-freezer with a water cooler and ice maker. 
  • Bedroom two en-suite, a beautiful, light room with a large feature bay window overlooking the inner harbour; king size bed, bedside tables with lamps and a classic Robert’s radio; a large chest of drawers providing ample storage space. A pine blanket box in this room holds additional blankets for chilly evenings and provides the ideal spot to sit and enjoy the activity in the harbour.
  • En-suite shower room, large shower unit with rainfall shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail/radiator.
  • Living/dining room, two steps up from the kitchen lead to a spacious living/dining room, the living area provides plenty of space to relax with a comfortable sofa, armchairs and two window seats. There is a wall mounted Freeview TV and a selection of coffee table books and games. The large dining table comfortably seats eight plus.
  • Balcony, opening from the living room is a pleasant glass fronted balcony overlooking the inner harbour, with outdoor dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ available for guests’ use. This lovely outdoor space provides the perfect place to relax away from the crowds whilst still enjoying the comings and goings in the harbour below – the ideal spot to spend a pleasant few hours with a book or perhaps a G&T! 

Stairs from living room up to;

  • Master en-suite, a cosy and comfortable room located partially under the eaves, this room boasts a king size bed, bedside tables with lamps and a Robert’s radio, and a built in dressing table and wardrobe with ample storage space. This room also enjoys views across the inner harbour. Please note there are sloping ceilings in this room so please do watch your head! 
  • En-suite, the newly installed en-suite has a WC, washbasin, heated towel rail and a large bath with handheld shower
  • Single bedroom, with a full sized single bed tucked under the eaves this delightful, snug bedroom is ideal for a child. Two small bedside units and an under-bed drawer provide storage while low level wall lights provide the perfect night light. This room is located next door to the triple/family bedroom. 
  • Triple bedroom, the largest bedroom in the cottage is the triple bedroom making it ideal as a family room. King size bed and single bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers providing storage. There is a Velux window to one side of the room and a further window overlooking the harbour on the other. 
  • Family bathroom, the family bathroom has a large bath with handheld shower, WC and wash basin; heated towel rail. 

Stairs from living room down to harbour level;

  • Living room two, a second living area with a comfortable sofa and large 50” wall mounted smart TV, back door opening onto the harbour.
  • Utility/shower room, a useful shower/utility room with WC, washbasin, washing machine and a large walk in rainfall shower ideal for showers straight off the beach.


  • Outside, there is space at the rear of the property to hang washing, it is also possible to park two cars
  • Parking, there is parking available for two cars below the balcony at the rear of the property. However, guests should note that this is not accessible around the two high tides in every 24 hours. The inaccessibility ranges from approximately 1 to 3 hours, each tide, depending on whether they are neap or spring tides. Cars can be parked for the 24 hours.
  • Street parking, this is available all day between 16th September and 30th May on the road above the property. In high season between 1st June and 15th September parking is restricted to 3 hours between 9am and 6pm near the outer harbour and 1 hour above the property nearer the village. There is no charge for street parking in this area.

No3, Stryd Penlan is situated in the heart of the Abersoch, in a wonderful location directly overlooking the inner harbour, with all the amenities of the village on the doorstep.

To reach the property turn left at Londis shortly after you enter the village; pass Beresford Adams on your right and continue towards the harbour, turning onto the slipway just beyond ‘Breeze’. No3 is located on the left. Parking outside the property for unloading only, there is provision for parking two accessed over beach and subject to tides.
